CARRIE MIXON

I grew up in Kenya, breathing the savanna wind and the grit of an African city. Color, pattern, story, and faith are ingrained in me, echoing through my thoughts and art. In 2012, I moved to Lookout Mtn., Georgia, to study art at Covenant College, so now the beauty of a small Southern mountain has settled in me too! I continue to travel and seek more about life, pain, hope, people, and all the beautiful details of the world. 

 

I love to be outside, figure out how things work, write poetry, build nomadic structures, get dirty, talk to God, and engage in community.
